#15 My plans for summer vacation

I am planing to go to Las vegas and Hollywood. These places seem like very American! So I must check them out. Of course I won't gamble so much because I don't have so much money. We saw the Oceans 11 in the class. I am going to visit that place casino Bellusio. On other days, I am going to relax at the beach, hang out with friends and watch many movies to practice listening. We have only two weeks summer vacation untill fall semester will begin. I hope I can have a good vacation!

#14 The LA Angels baseball game

I went to watch the Angels baseball game on last Sunday. Nice Brandon took me and Pete there. The stadium in Anahaim was a huge and there were so many people wearing red T-shirt that is the symbol color. I was surprised at the size. I think it is four times as big as Japanese local baseball stadium. This is American size! And the game was perfect game. The Angels beat the Tigers for 14-4. I was happy because we could enjoy cheering on every hit. We clapped hands with the music and shouted, and sometimes booed when the batter hit by a pitch. On the seventh inning, we sung the song" Take me out to the ball game." It was so exciting!! As the sond, we ate the beanuts and cracker Jack!

# 13 movie"My Big Fat Greek Wedding"

I enjoyed the movie. The story is about the Greek lady who want to get married. She found her own life and changed so cheerfully. Then she met a man. But there are some problems in her marrige because of srtict tradition in Greek family, especially her dad. But their love overcome the difficulties and they became happy. I thought we can change so much as her if we really want it. To love someone gives us a lot of power. And I enjoy the Greek pride and the expalining of the word origin. I love the phrase that her father said at the wedding celemony. He said that the name of the American groom family means apple and the name of Greek bride family means orange. So they are in same fruit group though they are different nationality.

#12 Love

There are three kinds of love (agape, phileo, eros). First, agape is the love that God gives human. And the love is limitless and unconditional. Then plileo is the love of friendship. Third, eros is the corporal love. I want to love peole with agape's love even though it is hard.

# 9 The global warming

I think global warming is a serious threat to our enviroment because it is the dangerous signal from the nature. First, it is caused by gas of car. It means there are too many cars and they release gas. It is not good for nature and of course also not good for human. It is the one of the reason of an allergy. Second, it means the system of greens doesn't work well. Trees usually release O2 and absorb CO2, but now there are too much CO2 becaouse we cut the trees a lot. distruction of the nature system causes more seriouce troubles. Third, it makes ice of the South pole melt. The sea level of each seashore will be 9cm higher and cover many small islands. Millions of people who are living in islands will not be able to servive. We should think about the signal of the global warming.

#10 Beach Party

I went to the beach party at the Corona Del Mar Beach. It was really fun. The beach was beautiful. Like the white sand, blue water, blue sky, green pine tree, white yacht, glaring sunshine and romantic sunset... it was so nice. I enjoyed playing soccer, volleyball, frisbee and swimming there. Also I had hot dogs,watermelons and clams. It was so gelicious!! I was happy because I could take photo with classmate of 4B!! I think we should have another beach party!!

The person I look up to

I look up to my mother, Yasuko. First of all, she is a hard worker. She has worked hard as a civil officer and also has done housework. She works form 8 to 6. When I was a child, my mother came home from working and soon started cooking dinner because I complained that I was hungry. But she never told me that she was tired. And on weekend she cleaned house and washed the clothes. She did well both as a office worker and as a mother. Second, she gave me good education. Even though she was busy, she sometimes took me to the libraries and the museums and helped me doing my homework as well as took me juku (private school), and swimming school, English private school. I thank my mother so much for them. Third, she is so kind. She willingly helps people in trouble. She is so sensitive that she thinks of others as herself. She always cries when she watches the sad dramas or documentaries. I like her warm heart. In conclusion, I respect my mother and I hope I can be like her.

#6 The forth of July ~ The independence day~

The forth of July I saw people staying in America love the forth of July and celebrate the day happily. It took time to make me remember that which country colonized the America. It was the Britain. But Now the America is so big that we can't imagine that. The day is good to raise their patriotizm. And the patriotizm helps America bigger and bigger. Actually Most American enjoy having a wonderful time with family. It is so nice for family too.

#5 7 7 7~ The lucky day~

It is July 7th 2007. It is very lucky day! In the morning I found the old lamp when I was jogging in the park. As you imagine, it is an old lamp and looks unusual. So what did you do? Yes, I rubbed the lamp! Suddenly the spirit of the lamp came out!!! He can make my three dreams come true.
First, I prayed that I could speak all languages to communicate with people all over the world. And he did. So now I must be fluent in doing my homework!
Second, I prayed that I could move in a moment from here to there. And he did. So now I must never be late for class if I oversleep! And I could go back to Japan anytime I want.
Third, I prayed that I could make the world peaceful; no war, no hunger, no hate. And he did..? No. Even he couldn't. Why? Because it is too difficult to change people's mind and thinking. So each of ourselves must think about it and should pray for it. Then I wake up from the dream.....

I like Matrix. The idea of the story is interesting. The story is about the savior of the other world. In the movie it is the original world. The movie says that the world is the original world and the world we live is copy. We usually believe what we can see and don't believe what we can't see. But the movie through message that there maight be an another world or more important thing. And the action is also exciting. The scene that main charactor dudge the bullet quickly is popular.

These days I am happy. Finally I get used to American life. I got a cool beach bike, so I enjoy cycling and looking for a good and cheap shop. At first I couldn’t see the price, so I bought some expensive foods by mistake. But now I am smart shopper through some mistakes. And also I enjoy talking with clerks like saying “hi, how are you”. Last week I met a man with his cute baby at the supermarket. The baby smiled at me and I talked with her father. Meeting with someone and having communication makes me happy.

About last Friday

Last Friday I went to the Hanetton beach. The reason that I didn't go to Knott's Berry Farm is I hate roller coaster. I tried it many times, but always feel bad. I know my friends are crazy about roller coaster. On Monday Pete had a neckache because of the roller coaster. I am sure that I had a good choice.
I love the beach. It was beutiful. I enjoyed the relax time. Especially senset was nice!!

In my life, friends are my tresures. I think it means that I was loved by many people because of my good personality. When I make friends and go with them, I can find good points and bad points. Especially I want to make foreign friends because I can learn new things. My hope is to live such a good life.
